Disclosure & Rights
Virtual talent, professionally managed.
Working with virtual talent should feel like working with any professional talent agency: clear identity, clear rights, clear paperwork. This page explains how it works.
What is virtual talent?
Our talent are original virtual characters — models and actors created digitally for professional production. They are developed, owned and managed by Icon Roster, and appear consistently across still imagery, motion and dialogue.
Is the talent based on a real person?
No. Every talent we represent is an original character. None is based on, derived from, or intended to resemble any specific real person. Biographical details on talent profiles — casting age, look, languages — describe the character's creative profile, not real-world records.
Who controls the identity?
Icon Roster owns and controls each talent identity: the face, name, likeness and character. Clients license usage for defined campaigns; they do not acquire the identity itself unless a custom agreement says otherwise.
How does licensing work?
Every engagement is scoped in writing: deliverables, media, territory, term and exclusivity. Usage beyond the agreed scope — new media, extended term, new territories — is licensed separately. We track usage for every campaign.
Can a talent be exclusive to my brand or campaign?
Yes. Category exclusivity (e.g. no competing beauty brands during your term) and full campaign exclusivity are both available and priced into the license.
Can appearance, wardrobe and setting be directed?
Yes — wardrobe, styling, location, lighting and performance are developed around your creative brief, the way you would art-direct any shoot. The core identity (face, recognizable features) remains consistent.
Can talent speak, move and perform?
Yes. Talent are developed for motion, dialogue and performance. Each profile's motion section shows current capabilities.
How is AI use disclosed?
All Icon Roster talent is clearly identified as virtual talent on this site, and we support clients in meeting synthetic-media disclosure obligations that apply to their campaigns and territories, including labeling requirements under applicable law.
What about training and model reuse?
Licensed campaign assets are delivered for the agreed usage only. Using delivered assets to train machine-learning models, or to generate new likenesses of our talent, is not permitted without an explicit written license.
